COVID-19 Relief Fund

United Way of Southeast Georgia and The City of Stateboro have joined together to establish a COVID-19 Relief Fund to provide assistance to families and individuals who have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 pandemic and its economic consequences.

This fund will be used to help families retain stable housing by assisting with rent and utility payments when grace periods are not offered and to provide financial assistance for additional critical needs.

United Way and City of Statesboro COVID-19 Relief Fund will provide financial assistance to:

  • Residents of Bulloch County
  • Residents who are not able to pay all or part of their monthly rent or utility bill(s) due to financial hardship caused by COVID-19. This could be due to temporarily increased expenses or decreased income.

Proof of Bulloch County Residency (if ID is issued in a different county)
Rental / Lease Statement (if seeking rental assistance)
Statement from landlord that states you are past due (if seeking rental assistance) (include landlord’s phone #)
Utility Bill – Past Due (if seeking utility assistance) NO TELEPHONE, INTERNET, CABLE
Income Documentation (please provide all that apply to household)

  • Paycheck Stubbs (last four weeks) 
  • Social Security
  • Child Support
  • Utility Check
  • Veterans Benefits
  • Retirement
  • Unemployment Statement
  • Recent Job Separation Due to COVID-19

Current Bank Statements for March, April, May, June July and current activity for August – please also include copies of all checks that have cleared the bank with each statement

All documentation needs to be current for us to decide eligibility. This information will be used to verify your need. Please submit all documentation within 48 hours of submitting the online application. Place all documentation in an envelope and put in the drop box at the Outreach Center (515 Denmark Street). The drop box will have a United Way sign on it. Once documents are received a case manager will review your application and contact you with questions.  

You will be notified by either email or phone call if you are eligible for assistance.
